In Russia this is crazy, and so are the drivers. They don't understand what a crosswalk is or a pedestrian. They will run you down and never look back. When crossing the road do so with great caution, because when I say they will not try to avoid hitting you, I MEAN IT! I saw two people killed in my last visit, one mans head was crushed which shook up my wife and friend greatly, it was not a pretty sight. One thing I noticed that the Russians were unaffected by it, they showed no emotion or didn't seem to even care or even look. It is so common there they have come to accept this as normal. I find this very sad that human life has such little value to people and the drivers there.
